'The Last Ship' Season 2 Spoilers: Tom Chandler Orders an In-Depth Investigation for Ship Death
Commander Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) will make a move that will shake the morale of his constituents in the upcoming episode of the second season of TNT's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The Last Ship."
Spoiler reports for the segment titled "Friendly Fire" indicates that a suspicious death will occur on board. The incident will force Tom to order a murder investigation. The thought of having a potential murderer in their midst is not going to sit well for the rest of the ship's crew.
According to Carter Matt, this mandatory investigation will cause a dissent and unrest within the ranks. Trust and moral are expected to drop low as many of the ship personnel will doubt if the person they met along the corridor is the one responsible for the bloody crime.
To further complicate the issue, Dr. Rachel Scott (Rhona Mitra) is apparently in danger with the perpetrator still on the loose within the vicinity. Chandler, on his part, will have to race against the clock to ensure that Rachel will be able to successfully concoct the cure which they believe could work with more efficiency and less time.
Meanwhile, the promo trailer for the episode shows that the Immunes are not yet ready to give up despite their massive defeat in the earlier segments. The teaser suggested that they'll be coming back and are expected to hit back at the USS Nathan James.
There would only be a few episodes left for the current season. However, fans are still in for more action and adventure as the report from Deadline.com indicated that the network has renewed the show for Season 3.
The upcoming season, which will be comprised of 13, brand new episodes, will premiere next summer.
For the meantime, "The Last Ship" Season 2 episode "Friendly Fire" airs this Sunday, Aug. 16, on TNT.
