'The Legend of the Blue Sea' Actor Lee Min-Ho Donates $44,000 to Child Abuse Victims

Celebrities have always been the center of admiration, mostly because of the roles they play or the acting prowess they display on screen. Lee Min-Ho, one of the most famous Korean actors of his time, shows that he is more than just a pretty face and is all the more worthy of praise in the things he does for those in need.

According to the non-government organization Good Neighbors, the strapping actor has donated an amount around $44,000 for the benefit of children suffering from domestic violence. This was put together from Jan. 16 to 26 via Promiz, a donation platform organized by both the actor and the hordes of fans behind him.

"The money will be used for children who have gone through domestic violence. It will help them receive psychological therapy and help them with their heating bills at home," a representative from Good Neighbors mentioned in a statement.

Lee Min-Ho's heart is really set into helping others and encourages others to do the same. In an interview with the Inquirer, he said, "My goal is to change perception about giving money for charity. A lot of people still think that this is only for the rich. I used to think like this, but this isn't true. Begin by donating the smallest amount you can afford. You'll soon realize how easy it is to support worthy causes."

This isn't the first time that the Korean actor has opted to go above and beyond to make a difference. Drama Fever has compiled a list of instances when he had extended a helping hand in the past. From donating to a primary school in Guangzhou, China to participating in Cheil Worldwide Charity's fundraising bazaar, he has definitely been making rounds to promote kindness.

With those being said, Lee Min-Ho is giving his fans around the world more reasons to love him and emulate his good deeds.
