'The Maze Runner 3' Movie News: Movie To Continue Despite Dylan O'Brien's Accident
"The Maze Runner 3," also known as "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure," will continue "running" despite earlier rumors and speculations that the production has decided to shelve the project after lead star Dylan O'Brien's accident during the filming.
"After a few weeks of rest and recovery he'll be back up and running to finish our adventure together," said the director of "The Maze Runner 3," Wes Ball, in reference to O'Brien, who he described as "one tough cookie."
O'Brien figured in the accident while doing a stunt for the movie in Vancouver. While the accident did not jeopardize his life, the injuries he sustained were undeniably serious. TMZ reported that the actor was run over by a car used in the filming that resulted in several of his bones getting fractured.

The report of TMZ, however, was dispelled by one members of the cast, Chris Sheffield, as he tweeted that people should not believe everything reported by the show, and that the "Maze Runner" family was standing strong.
However, what TMZ reported turned out to be true, after all, as 20th Century Fox confirmed the veracity of the report.
"Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery," went the statement released by 20th Century Fox.
The statement of 20th Century Fox was followed up by another statement from author James Dashner, who stressed that the production of the movie has only be delayed but not cancelled, dispelling rumors that it has already been axed.
"The Maze Runner 3" hits the theaters on Feb. 17, 2017.
