'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Klaus and Elijah brotherhood is wrecked, progeny Lucien arrives with secret agenda

There's still a few weeks lefts until the return of the hit supernatural series "The Originals" for season three but fans are already getting some exciting teasers and spoilers for what's to come to the show. Joseph Morgan, one of the main stars who plays as Klaus, even turned to Twitter just to let fans know that the upcoming season is nothing short of amazing.

One storyline that the fans can expect when the show returns is the wrecked sibling relationship between Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), according to International Business Times. It can be remembered in the previous season that Klaus stirred up conflict between them when he burned Elijah's sweetheart, Gia (Nishi Munshi). No matter how much Klaus explained his reason for doing such aberration, Elijah decided that he no longer wants to be on his sibling's side, not with all of Klaus' dark motives.

The question whether the two will make amends or completely distance off each other will be further known in the third installment but Julie Plec, creator of "The Originals," gave fans a hint to the fate of the brothers' relationship. Plec said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the two will continue to worsen in the approaching season.

"The Original family left last season very distant from each other," Plec remarked. "I'd say Klaus left last season [having] alienated pretty much everyone he's ever met before. So the minute this season there's a threat, the question is, is the family going to once again put aside their differences to stand together to fight a common enemy? Or did Klaus' actions shatter that bond too much, and will it keep them splintered?"

Meanwhile, the main characters will be facing new challenges involving the first vampires each of them caused to turn. According to Inquisitr, Andrew Lees will join the show as Lucien, the first vampire Klaus turned. His reunion with Klaus may appear joyous at first but it turned out he has a secret agenda— he seeks vengeance after his creator abandoned him and all the other vampires Klaus created.

Fans can catch season three premiere of "The Originals" on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
