'The Originals' Season 4: Familiar Face Pays a Visit

The first trailer for "The Originals" season 4 has been released, teasing the unexpected return of a familiar character just when Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) needs that person most.

Leah Pipes returns in the series to reprise her role as Camille. As fans know, she met her demise in the previous season in the episode, "No More Heartbreaks."

There was no announcement of Pipes coming back for "The Originals" season 4 although it looks like she will only make a small appearance and nothing more.

Camille shows up in "The Originals" season 4 trailer after Klaus calls for her. Still in the clutches of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), the desperate werewolf and vampire hybrid was in chains and appears to have woken up from a dream.

"I'm here," Camille tells Klaus in reply. She sat next to him as she did. From the looks of it, Cami is just a product of Klaus' imagination.

This could be because Marcel is messing with his mind or the pain has become too much for him that he had to be reminded of the people he loved and lost.

Naturally, Cami's split-second appearance in "The Originals" season 4 trailer had many even more hyped for the new season. However, fans would not want to count on a full-on return.

Apart from the fact that Cami is irrevocably gone, Pipes is only listed by IMDB to appear in one episode, the second one for the season in particular.

This suggests that the scene from "The Originals" season 4 trailer happens after the premiere, which means that Klaus will not be able to escape from Marcel easily.

Now that the word is out about her comeback, Pipes took to Instagram to amp up the excitement even more. She posted a screenshot of the moment she appears in the trailer. "Yes. It's true. I finally got to wear Claire Holt's wig," she wrote in the caption.

"The Originals" season 4 premieres Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
