PlayStation Experience 2016 News and Updates: Event Details Revealed; Games, Capcom Cup and More Expected this December
Fans of the PlayStation platform have been treated with new consoles in the previously concluded PlayStation Meeting. The fun does not end there, however, as the PlayStation Experience event is just around the corner.
The PlayStation Experience 2016
In the PlayStation Meeting held earlier this month, Sony introduced the PlayStation 4 Slim and the PlayStation 4 Pro. However, as if fans haven't had enough excitement for a year, the tech company just announced the details for the PlayStation Experience 2016 event.
The PlayStation Experience is held annually where the company shows off all the exciting new tech and innovations that would keep the fans at the edge of their seats. Traditionally, the event includes new announcements, gameplay debuts, and a whole lot of other surprises.
This year's PlayStation Experience would be like any other, complete with the new consoles that the company had just introduced. The recently announced PlayStation 4 Pro would certainly make an appearance. Reports also say that the PlayStation VR would also be showcased at the PlayStation Experience. With these two consoles alone, a plethora of games are expected to grace the event, especially to take advantage of the new gaming console features.
What to Expect—Games and Capcom Cup
Several high end game titles are expected to appear at the event. This includes "God of War" which has been the subject of a lot of talks in the web lately. "Horizon: Zero Dawn" is also anticipated, with the game's release being pushed back to 2017. New games that will take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro 4K features and the PlayStation VR itself are expected to be exhibited.
The Capcom Cup will also be returning to the 2016 PlayStation Experience. The event will see the best qualifying players from the Capcom Pro Tour, competing for more than $250,000 in total prizes and for a crown as the Street Fighter V World Champion.
However, other official developers are still mum on whether they will be participating in the event and to what extent. This way, fans keep guessing whether they should anticipate triple A titles to appear or third-party releases. There are no words if huge publishers are set to appear, but indie games are for sure going to be highlighted in the PlayStation Experience.
Event Date and Ticket Details
The Sony PlayStation Experience 2016 will be held on December 3 and 4. It will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Tickets for the event are available at the company's official website. The price tag for the tickets range from $40 for a one-day pass to $75 for a two-day ticket. There is also an early bird promo available.
