'The Real Housewives of New York' News, Cast, Spoilers: Kristen Taekman Exits Show to Focus on Family

"The Real Housewives of New York" (RHONY) definitely has a lot of to fill in as Kristen Taekman has just announced that she is leaving the show after two seasons. The model and mother of two cited that the reason for her decision is to focus on her family.

Although Taekman initially made a scene when she came into the show and had little minor arguments, she mostly maintained a drama-free relationship with the other ladies while being on the Bravo reality series. The biggest controversy that rocked her life was focused on her marriage with businessman Josh Taekman. When the hacking of the infidelity website Ashley Madison was exposed, Josh was revealed to be a longtime user of the website.

According to Daily Mail, the 46-year-old had been using the website since Kristen was pregnant with their second baby in 2011 and since then has spent around $1,500 on membership fees. He immediately issued a public apology for the incident, stating "I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives." The couple seem to be doing their best to regain the relationship they had in the past 10 years.

As for Kristen, she took it on her Instagram to express how she felt about leaving RHONY, as she posted, "My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends." She also adding her future endeavors, "At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures Pop Of Color nail polish and Last Night's Look, my fashion blog. I will remain a housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important."
