'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Season 12 Cast Rumors; Who's Leaving, Who's Staying?

The production team of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is keeping their silence about the cast situation with the reality show for season 12. A few rumors, however, have emerged about the housewives, plus a surprise announcement from long-time cast member Heather Dubrow.

Leaving the Show

Meghan King Edmonds may not be around for "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 12, sources claim via Us Weekly. Edmonds was a full-time cast member on seasons 10 and 11, and was a highlight of last year's season with her decision to undergo in-vitro fertilization and her experiences with pregnancy.

King Edmonds and husband, MLB former center fielder Jim Edmonds, welcomed their daughter, Aspen, in November of last year. King Edmonds has reportedly made her decision to focus on being a mother and getting back to work, according to International Business Times.

Heather Dubrow has announced that she will be leaving the show after five seasons. Dubrow made her departure known through her PodcastOne show, "Heather Dubrow's World." She says she made the decision for her teenagers and that she wants to explore other opportunities. "I felt like I was at a tipping point, and just ... it was time," she says. "I will miss the girls."

Dubrow has also made her decision known through a statement made to BravoTV.

Returning Cast

Kelly Dodd is expected to return for "The Real Housewives of Orange County" new season, The Dirty reports. Inside sources have claimed that "Kelly is indeed back on the show and onboard for season 12."

Us Weekly reports that Lydia McLaughlin might be returning to the series for season 12, at least that's the rumor supported by several of their sources. McLaughlin was part of the show for its entire season 8 run until September 2013, but she has not rejoined the cast for the next seasons after that. Until now: "She seems really excited," the magazine's informant tells Us Weekly.

Tamra Judge could be staying with the series, as well. Despite not getting along with fellow housewives Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd, sources tell Us Weekly that Judge might make it back for season 12.

Shannon Beador might be returning to the unscripted show, making it her fourth straight season as a housewife. Beador had a rough season 11 with her marital issues and the conflicts with Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson, but it looks like the feng shui hobbyist has been keeping it together.

New Housewife?

"The Hills" star Audrina Patridge could be joining the show, according to All About TRH. After the former teen reality star has expressed some interest in joining the show last year, insiders say the producers have been eyeing her for the role. The 31-year old Patridge is married to BMX Professional Corey Bohan, and the new couple has a daughter. Sources further add that the show's producers think she "is perfect" as a younger member of the cast.
