'The Sims 4' Fan Stuff Pack Voting Schedule: How and When Players Can Help Maxis Develop Next DLC

Electronic Arts (EA) and Maxis are giving the Sims community the power to put together a Stuff Pack for "The Sims 4" of their own choosing and "guide this pack through its critical steps of development."

"We're going to ask you the same questions we ask ourselves, and ultimately we'll have a pack we can all be proud of," Maxis wrote on its blog.

"Development here in Maxis is always a collaborative process, with input from multiple disciplines to shape everything that we create. By adding your voices and your feedback, we're going to make a Stuff Pack that represents your desires," the game publisher went on to say.

First on the agenda is for "The Sims 4" players to select the theme of the Stuff Pack. They can rank five suggested themes in order of preference.

The first selection provided is Eco Living, a downloadable content (DLC) centered on laundry, home technology and solar energy that basically gives Simmers the opportunity to live an eco-friendly life.

The suggested Starter Home Stuff Pack for "The Sims 4," on the other hand, is all about designing the household without breaking the bank. This means that Simmers will resort to space-saving furniture and yard sale items.

The third option is the Arcade Stuff Pack, which will allow "The Sims 4" players to treat their Sims with "a fun afternoon of entertainment with friends" that involves arcade activities as well as skill and social-testing games.

"The Sims 4" players who like to live on the edge can go for the Dangerous Stuff Pack, in which players make their Sims experience "new dangers that celebrate the afterlife." This grim DLC is all about Sim deaths, funeral experiences and the Grim Reaper.

The fifth and final DLC suggestion is the Wedding Stuff Pack, which is for those who want their Sims' big day to be bigger. This pack will add "new wedding content and experiences."

"The Sims 4" players have until April 6 to cast their votes. To take part, go to the bottom of this page. By April 10 to 12, gamers will be requested to select the art style to be used on the pack.

Maxis will then work on whatever emerges the favorite and then on May 18 to 21 will have "The Sims 4" gamers choose objects and clothing fit for the DLC.

It is only from June 23 to 26 that players get to vote for the features they want to see in the DLC. Around fall, it will be time to pick the icon and the title that will be used on the Stuff Pack.
