'The Sims 4' News: 'Cats & Dogs' Expansion Will Allow Players to Become Veterinarians

Players can design their own veterinary clinics in the game

Virtual pets are being prepared to bring joy to the lives of the characters inside "The Sims 4" via the upcoming "Cats & Dogs" expansion, but they are not the only new additions players can look forward to.

It just would not be right if these furry creatures were left to fend for themselves inside the game, which is why developers are also set to introduce the veterinarian occupation to "The Sims 4."

Once players make the decision to become a vet, the first thing they will need in the game is a place where they can actually treat pets and accommodate their owners.

As detailed in a recent post on the game's official website, players will be allowed to construct their own veterinary clinic. They will also be given full control over how the clinic will look like, though they should remember that keeping the pets comfortable is the priority.

After the clinics are built, players can now move on to staffing the place, and they have some options here.

The players have the option of hiring some employees. They can also reward their hard workers with raises or fire them if they are not handling their duties well.

If players want to save some money, it will also be possible for them to ask family members for help and just teach them what they need to know in order to properly treat the pets inside "The Sims 4."

Veterinarians can diagnose, perform check-ups, and operate on pets if this will get them back to full health. They can also create new kinds of medicine that pet owners can give to their furry friends.

Pets will be welcome additions to the game, and it is nice to know that there will also be Sims present who can make sure that these virtual companions will be cared for properly.

The "Cats & Dogs" expansion will be released for "The Sims 4" on Nov. 10.
