'The Strain' Season 2 Recap, Spoilers: Eph Makes A Tough Decision; Gus and Angel Recruits More Members for Mr. Quinlan
Things are definitely getting more intense as the second season of FX's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Strain" moves on this week with an episode that will see Eph making a tough decision while Gus and his new buddy, Angel, get to work recruiting dayhunters for Mr. Quinlan.
The last week's showing titled "Dead End" showed just how much Fet is willing to go through in order to save Dutch from the clutches of Eichhorst. The episode, meanwhile, featured a brief look back on the life of the Master's lieutenant.
The scenes with Setrakian meanwhile picks up from the ending of the earlier segment where he was getting knocked off by someone and the Occido Lumen being grabbed from his hand. Awake, the elderly vampire hunter explained to Fonescu the crucial part of the book has to play in the current plague. The former convent boy nonetheless went off to see Alonso Creem, the gangster who was also interested with the Lumen.

Gus, on the other hand, convinced Angel to accompany the Guptas "to safety" and out of Redhook. The young man was then caught surprised when the ex-wrestler returned, telling Gus that he technically had done his part of the deal. They both get inside the car of Mr. Quinlan's associate.
In the next episode titled "Fallen Light," it is said in the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic that both Gus and Angel will get to work recruiting more Sun-hunters for the Ancient being. Being absent in the past few weeks, it is assumed that Rupert Penry-Jones' character will be returning on screen this time.
Eph, meanwhile, will be facing a tough choice involving the safety of his son, Zach, over the safety of the people of New York. The short teaser provided by the network (via International Business Times ) seems to suggest that this would be linked to his plan to weaponize the virus that is said to work against the strigois. At the same time, Eph's relationship with Nora is yet to face another critical impasse.
