In addition, she also shared that she will be having a new romantic interest in the upcoming season. With that, fans have been guessing that her character Bonnie, will probably end up with Damon.

However, all Graham shared was, "We'll see what happens. I wish I could say it's definitely happening, or it's definitely not happening, but I just want them to appreciate whenever Ian and I do scenes together, and then we'll just kind of see what the writers do."

She added that she and Somerhalder are looking forward to pursuing whatever material the writers expect from their characters. There were also previous reports that Graham even suggested to the writers that Bonnie should actually be gay in the series.

Executive producer of the series Julie Plec addressed this topic during an interview with TV Line. She agreed that that could actually be a good direction for the character.

However, she confirmed that it will not be something they will tackle in season 7 of "Vampire Diaries." Apart from romance, Graham also shared her sentiments on playing a witch in the series.

She explained, "Being a witch to me is a very, very sexy thing. There's a lot of mystery to it, there's a lot of energy in dealing with the unknown, and dealing with this kind of powerful force so you'd think that romance would come with the territory."

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 airs every Thursday.
