'The Voice' Season 7 Premiere Date: Show Starts Sept. 22, Coaches Ready to Battle for New Season
"The Voice" season 7 is set to premiere on Sept. 22 on NBC, and it looks like all the coaches are in it to win it.
NBC has just released its promo poster for the show's new season, with new coach Gwen Stefani front and center, dressed in black, and her fingers up in the show's signature "V" sign. Stefani is not the only one who is joining the show for the first time, as Pharrell Williams, also a new coach, has his best game face on in the poster. Returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are both standing behind Stefani, and all the men are dressed in black. The only source of color in the poster is from the crimson lipstick that Stefani wears, as well as her high heeled red shoes.
Joining the show as mentors are Stevie Nicks for Levine's group, Little Big Town for Shelton's team, Gavin Rossdale for Stefani's group, and Alicia Keys for William's team.
It can be recalled that in previous seasons, Shelton had 3 wins, Levine had 2, and Usher had 1. Will season 7 have a different winner?
Entertainment Weekly got the inside scoop when they were invited to watch the blind auditions. Apparently, the Levine-Shelton rivalry is still on, but it seems like this season is especially contentious as the Maroon Five front man has a chance to tie with the country star for wins.
The website is reporting that the contestants covered all different musical styles, and that the judges were very impressed with the sheer talent displayed, particularly when a powerhouse soul singer and a country singer took the stage.
