'The Voice' Season 9: Couple Singer Get Engaged Onstage, New Artists Joins the Teams

Another week of "The Voice" blind auditions has passed, which means another set of talented artists have been recruited into either Team Gwen, Team Pharrell, Team Adam or Team Blake. This week's episodes did not lack in featuring solid performances that stunned both the coaches and the crowd. And one audition that really stole the limelight was that of contestants Amanda Preslar and Jubal Lee Young.

According to International Business Times, the country/rock duo sang their hearts out to the tune of The Eagles' "Seven Bridges Road." That's when they captured the hearts of Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani who both turned their chairs. They were then asked if they were married, to which Preslar answered, "Not yet. One day."

Young then brought out his surprise by kneeling down on one knee and proposed to the shocked Preslar with a diamond ring. Luckily, she did say yes. And regardless if staged or not, the proposal scene was a refreshing moment for everyone—seeing two people in love starting on the journey of marriage together in front of a worldwide audience.

Before things could go straight to an engagement party, Adam quickly reminded the couple that they still have to choose between Gwen and Pharrell. The two picked the "Happy" singer.

Other artists that auditioned also owned the stage with their performances and one of them is freelance stylist Darius Scott who sang "You Make Me Wanna" by Usher. Billboard noted that the coaches except Blake turned around for Darius. But since the stylist is a fan of N.E.R.D., he chose Pharrell.

The next artist that came to the stage was Korin Bukowski who sang "Cecilia and the Satellite." Only one coach, Gwen, turned for her. The first four-chair turner of the night belonged to the next artist, Krista Hughes, who eventually picked Blake. Janae Strother followed with a performance of the song "Uptown Funk" but no one turned for her due to some vocal control issues.

Other artists that got in were Chance Pena, Viktor Kiraly, and twin sisters Andi and Alex who are all under Adam's team. Cole Criske joined Blake's team while Alex Kandel jumped into Gwen's team. Celeste Betton, who sang "Love You I Do" by Jennifer Hudson, is the latest addition to Pharrell's team.
