'The Walking Dead' Midseason Premiere Teaser Hints at Negan's Arrival
"The Walking Dead" midseason premiere is just a couple of days away, and AMC has released a clip showing the first four minutes of the upcoming episode that hints at Negan's appearance in the near future.
Fans are in for a zombie-filled Valentine's Day when "The Walking Dead" midseason premieres on Sunday. The four-minute teaser for the upcoming episode of the AMC post-apocalyptic series reveals that Daryl's (Norman Reedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martni-Green), and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) will come face-to-face with Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) group of bikers, according to the Syracuse.
The original comic book already gives fans a glimpse into what will happen if Negan meets Glenn (Steven Yeun). In the series, however, it is Daryl's group that will face the gang.
The four-minute clip is the scene that happens after the zombies have taken over the Alexandria camp during the fall finale last year. The gang of bikers that the survivors meet are employees of major villain Negan, who is featured in the comic books, CNN explains.
One of the bikers will confiscate Daryl and his companions' weapons and say that everything they have is now owned by Negan. He will also tell Daryl that they should inform Negan's group once they come across a tanker, the report relays.
When Sasha asks about their identity, one of the bikers gives her a vague answer.
"I get the curiosity, but we have questions ourselves," the biker says in the preview clip. "And we'll be the ones asking them while we drive you back to wherever it is you call home, take a gander at where you hang your hats."
The clip puts fans in further suspense because it ends in a cliff-hanger wherein the biker points his guns at Sasha and Abraham while his companions go and search the back of the truck.
Viewers may not be able to see Negan until the finale of "The Walking Dead" season 6, E! News has said. However, he will play a major role in the next season because he will lead the Saviors group and will be the character carrying the baseball bat called Lucille, which is wrapped in barbed wire, the report details.
"The Walking Dead" is set to return for its midseason premiere on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
