'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Premiere Poster Suggests Darker Times Ahead (PHOTO)
"The Walking Dead" Season 4 is right around the corner, and the newest promotional poster for the show suggests darker times are ahead for Sheriff Rick Grimes and his cast of zombie fighting survivors.
The poster reveals a disheveled Rick standing in the middle of a ripped open fence suggesting that perhaps walkers have gotten into their home.
A trailer was also recently released for the show featuring the character of Michonne (Danai Gurira) riding through the prison on horseback when two walkers are seen trailing her.
It appears Michonne is in trouble and is not able to find her way out of it when the young character of Carl (Chandler Riggs), grabs his gun and comes to her aid.
As we see Carl making his way over to be the hero, the clip ends, leaving the viewers in suspense.
The premiere episode of season four is also known as "30 Days Without Accident" and is slated to include "great drama and great action," according to AMC's blog.
Some hints on what to expect from the next season have been revealed slowly through inside sources and even the actors themselves in various appearances.
Chad Coleman, who plays Tyreese in the series, will have a more prominent role in the next season, becoming one of the main characters who will have his name among the open credits.
Season 4 will also allow fans to see more of Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Tyreese's sister Sasha, as well as Emily Kinney, who has portrayed Beth since season two.
David Morrissey, better known as the Governor, will also return as a series regular for season four of "The Walking Dead." Season 3 is expected to be on Netflix as four debuts following in the same vein as last year.
The new season will begin on Oct. 13 and pick up right where AMC's juggernaut "Breaking Bad" ends.
