Walking Dead Season 5 Finale Spoilers: 90-Minute Special to Wrap Up Loose Storylines
AMC's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The Walking Dead" will soon be closing its fifth season and the reported 90-minute culmination special will certainly be mind-blowing as it will try to cover every aspect of the season from the conflict inside Alexandria and the mystery behind those W-tattooed zombies.
Following the bloody confrontation which occurred in the last episode titled "Try," Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group's residency inside the peaceful walled community might be endangered.
Adding more to the dire consequences of his explosive action, the constable might even lose his hold on the his group of survivors. Katana-wielding Michonne (Danai Guirira) knocked Rick out during his blood-stained soliloquy, and it could be indicative of a leadership change.
"We've seen Rick go through a pretty dramatic transformation this season," executive producer Greg Nicotero told USA Today. "Everybody has a lot to lose by Rick's behavior. So everybody either has to get behind what Rick's doing or stop him."
Then there's the threat from outside the walls. Ever since the Grimes gang went close to Alexandria, they noticed a slew of dismembered zombies with W-shaped tattoos in their foreheads.
"There are bad people out there, and they're pretty close," Nicotero teased.
Chiming in is cast member Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays the depressed Sasha Williams: "They seem to be very perverted, from what we've seen."
"It seems like people they've never come across before," she said.
"The Walking Dead" Season 5 Finale Special titled "Conquer" is slated to air this Sunday, March 29 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
