'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Spoilers: Andrew Lincoln Teases 'Beautifully Written' Next Episode

"The Walking Dead" season 7 recently introduced a new group of survivors, led by their slightly bizarre leader, Jadis. And while they seemed antagonistic at first, they ultimately agreed to partner with Rick Grimes' group by the end of the episode.

Pollyanna McIntosh, who plays Jadis, spoke to TVLine about the recent episode and her group of survivors, the Scavengers. Although Jadis initially made Rick fight an armored walker, she eventually agreed to join the Alexandrians' cause against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and fight by their side.

While speaking to the publication, McIntosh revealed that the alliance between the Alexandrians and the Scavengers is hopeful, although it remains to be seen if it will all be smooth sailing for them from here on out, especially in terms of who holds the power.

"You can see from the smile on her face that she's pretty pleased with how things have gone down," she said. "But there's also that lovely moment with the handshake and her not wanting to touch his bloody hand. She makes sure that he knows who's still on top."

The upcoming episode, though, seems to be focusing on Josh McDermitt's character, Eugene, and the Saviors. Two teaser clips have been released for the new episode, titled "Hostilities and Calamities," and one of which features Dwight (Austin Amelio) discovering that Daryl (Norman Reedus) has escaped.

Andrew Lincoln, who plays the Alexandrians' leader, Rick, teased what the next episode will have in store for viewers. "All I will say is that the episode coming up that I'm not involved in I think is a beautifully written episode," Lincoln told Entertainment Weekly. "But a little bit of fun and hijinks still to come with Rick and Michonne."

In the same interview, Lincoln also talked about McIntosh's character, describing her as both "strange" and "strong."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
