"The Walking Dead" season 7 returns today with episode 10, "New Best Friends," which is expected to pave the way to another alliance.
By the end of the midseason premiere, "Rock in the Road," Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company were surrounded by a group as they went looking for Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam).
Although they were clearly outnumbered and were in the face of serious danger, Rick still found the time to smile. "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 will reveal why.

Fans speculate that the "mysterious collective," as the synopsis for the episode refers to the people who held Rick's group at gunpoint, could be of help in their quest to stop the Saviors.
Rick sure seemed confident that they will win them over. Fans can bet he will do everything in his power in "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 to have them on their side.
This is not the only alliance that is brewing. According to speculations, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Richard (Karl Makinen), the head of security in The Kingdom, will team up to get the latter's group to fight in "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10.
Richard has expressed his desire to end Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) reign. He reached out to both Morgan (Lennie James) and Carol (Melissa McBride), who turned him down.
However, with Daryl with them now, it looks like Richard will be all the keener to take on the Saviors and have The Kingdom help.
"The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 will also be big for Daryl, who will finally get to wield a crossbow again. Sadly, it is not the one that he had since Dwight (Austin Amelio) still has it.
Despite this, fans will be happy to see the archer back in action come "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 especially after what he had to go through at the hands of Negan.
