'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Spoilers: Rick Vows He Will Kill Negan in 3 Minute Clip

Days before "The Walking Dead" season 8 starts, a clip of the first three minutes of the premiere episode is now making its rounds online. The clip shows Rick (Andrew Lincoln) making a promise to his allies that he will be the one to kill Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

The first three minutes' clip released for "The Walking Dead" season 8 has what it takes to heighten fans' excitement for the show's premiere on Sunday.

The preview started off by showing the combined forces of the groups from the Alexandria Safe-Zone led by Rick, the Hilltop Colony led by Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and The Kingdom led by Ezekiel (Khary Payton).

Early parts of the clip lacked dialogue but were still intense. During a bright, sunny day, Rick was seen paying his respects to a couple of graves. The rest of the members of the said groups were also shown loading equipment and making weapons, apparently for the upcoming war.

In the middle of the three-minute clip, Rick was featured on top of a truck's trunk together with Maggie and Ezekiel. The leader of the Alexandria group was apparently giving a pep talk to motivate his people in the fight for "the bigger world."

Rick said: "When I first met him, Jesus said that my world was gonna get a whole lot bigger. Well, we found that world. We found each other. That bigger world is ours, by right. That we've come together for it, all of us, it's that much more true."

"It's ours, by right! Any person, who would live in peace and fairness, who would find common ground, their right too," Rick added.

However, the main protagonist drew the line and said: "But those who use, and take, and kill, to carve out the world and make it theirs alone, we end them! We don't celebrate it. We don't have shame about it either."

While Rick did not mention Negan's name, his parting words were clearly about his nemesis as he said: "There's only one person who has to die, and I will kill him myself. I will! I will."

Meanwhile, another exciting scene from the clip involved Dwight (Austin Amelio). Though the character is currently with the Sanctuary, the events in season 7's finale had most of the fans convinced that Dwight's allegiance was with Daryl (Norman Reedus) and the others.

In the trailer, Dwight received an anonymous message. A piece of paper was delivered to him and it only said, "Tomorrow." This was likely referring to the war and when it would happen. While Daryl was not seen in the trailer, the arrow used to deliver the secret message was a clear indication that the crossbow-loving character was the one who warned Dwight.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 premiere -- which is titled "Mercy" -- is going to be the show's 100th episode and will air on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
