He said, "Season 3 of the Telltale series is really exciting to me, just because the way that the timeline works, season 3 will actually be getting pretty close to where we are in the comics concurrently, like the books that are coming out now are roughly in the same timeframe that season 3 will be in."

Those who follow the telltale games are aware that the first two seasons of the games were set during the beginning of "The Walking Dead" series on television. With that, Kirkman stated that the third season of "The Walking Dead" telltale games will follow the comics closer, which means that it will take place in a later time period.

Kirkman also explained, "There's a lot of really cool, really exciting things coming that I don't think people will expect. We'll be checking in on Clementine again, so we'll be seeing her, we'll be seeing where she was at and what's going on with her, which is going to be great, but also I think similar to the Michonne series, that there will probably be some more comic book elements that will be worked in, and in some interesting ways."

The third season of "The Walking Dead" telltales will be available later this year.
