'The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt' Release Date News: CD Projekt Red to Launch New Title in May, Game Details Leaked
CD Projeckt Red's highly-anticipated "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" will finally be released in two months, with additional details on the new title and gameplay making the rounds on gaming websites.
Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red is launching the third series of its popular "The Witcher" title based on Polish fantasy writer, Andrzej Sapkowski's mutant hunter stories. "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" is scheduled to be released on May 19 after having been delayed for nearly six months.
The developer has assured fans of the game that all the key issues of the upcoming title have been fixed and the final package is currently under its final tweaking stage before being released to the gaming public.
CD Projeckt Red is also making available a total of 16 downloadable content pieces for free, saying the extra DLC will enable fans to import their previously saved games and implications. The upcoming title also comes with a booklet and compendium video to keep players up on the speed with the game's plotline.
According to insider information, "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" comes in a super hard mode option that sends players back to the beginning of the game if they die in mid-play. With the new game said to be offering 35 times more content than its predecessors, and with gameplay averaging between 50 to 120 hours from start to finish, this option is reserved for "The Witcher" expert players.
The new title will also introduce a new character named Ciri. Ciri plays a substantial part in the game's plot, allowing gamers to control her character instead of the main witcher central character, Geralt of Rivia.
Ratings for "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" have appeared on Gamespot, garnering an M rating for intense violence, blood and gore, nudity and extensive sexual content, strong language, and alcohol use.
