'The X-Files' Season 11 Spoilers: Gillian Anderson Recreates Photo From Original Series
Gillian Anderson is helping fans get by the wait for "The X-Files" season 11 by recreating a photo that loyalists of the science fiction favorite will definitely appreciate.
On Twitter, she posted two photos: The first one shows a younger Anderson from the set of the original "The X-Files" series goofing around with chopsticks in her ears and nose as she shows offer a brick of a cellphone.
The second photo is an updated version, where she proved that some things just don't change despite the fact that a lot already did. She has the same props and outfit but with her hair different and an iPhone in hand.
Fans can also think of the photos when wondering about what "The X-Files" season 11 has to offer as the revival is bringing back fan-favorite characters from the original such as FBI assistant director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) and Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) while providing new elements by putting the spotlight on Scully and Mulder's (David Duchovny) son.
Unfortunately, Anderson is already flirting with the idea of making season 11 her last in "The X-Files." This is what she implied last month during the New York Comic-Con (NYCC).
When asked if she will be back for a new season of the series should it happen, she said, "I think this will be it for me." However, she said that this is not set in stone yet as the feeling of "maybe one more" might come around again.
She, however, pointed out that returning for "The X-Files" season 11 was not her plan either, but she explained she felt the need to reprise her role as Scully:
Because it felt like it wasn't over. It didn't feel like we necessarily deliver everything the fans were expecting of us last time, and so it was that.
"The X-Files" season 11 is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
