'The X-Files' Season 11 Spoilers: More Details About Scully And Mulder's Alien Son William To Be Revealed

The mysterious son of Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) will finally surface in "The X-Files" season 11.

TVLine confirmed that the dangerous character will arrive in the sci-fi show's upcoming season after the lead stars talked about it at the New York Comic-Con 2017 early this month. But both Anderson and Duchovny only added more information about William offstage.

Speaking with the publication, Anderson revealed that the still-unnamed actor who will play the role of William in the series will look like any typical kid. On the other hand, Duchovny dropped more hints regarding the appearance of Scully and Mulder's child.

"He resembles two people that aren't Mulder and Scully. And when you read this back [after watching the episodes] you'll figure this out," the actor stated.

William's appearance could be affected by the alien DNA that was injected to Scully when she was abducted in season 2. Based on the trailer that was released during the NYCC, William could possibly have several very dangerous tendencies that could affect the entire mankind. This means that his parents must find him before he can cause chaos on Earth.

On the other hand, actor Mitch Pileggi also revealed during the panel event of "The X-Files" at the NYCC that the new season will focus on William's relationship with his parents.

"We explore that father-son-mother relationship, and you'll see more of William than you've seen in a long time," the actor who portrays the role of FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner also said in front of the audience. "I think [the William storyline] is... brilliant. I think it's done really well, and you guys are going to be very, very happy with it."

Series creator Chris Carter also revealed during the panel that more details about the Cigarette Smoking Man will be discussed in the upcoming season.

"The X-Files" season 11 is scheduled to premiere on FOX sometime in 2018.
