'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers News: Shemar Moore and Tom Hallick to Return

It's 10 years since Shemar Moore was seen in "The Young and the Restless," and now it has been confirmed that he will be returning to the daytime soap in a two episode arc.

"The powers that be asked me if I'd come back," said Moore to ET Canada. "And I said yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"

Equally happy of his return to the show is Kristoff St. John, who plays his onscreen brother on the soap.

"I didn't think that his head was gonna fit through the stage door but evidently it did, and here's Mr. Moore," St. John jokingly said to ET Canada.

Meanwhile, another character is set to come back to the show after 36 years of absence. Tom Hallick, who was an original cast member of the soap, is returning, but not to reprise his character Brad Eliot, the neurosurgeon turned news reporter that he played from 1973 to 1978. Instead, he will be playing a kindly truck driver who helps Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to find her way back to Genoa City.

The episode, which will be aired on Sept. 26, is an homage to the opening scene of the premiere episode of "The Young and the Restless," which had Brad getting a ride from a truck driver heading to Genoa City.

"They found the same kind of truck and dug out the old script—only now I have the truck driver's dialogue, and Gina has mine," revealed Hallick in an interview with TV Guide magazine. "It was weird recreating the scene that way, but really pretty wonderful."

"The Young and the Restless" airs Monday to Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
