Award-winning rock band Third Day has kicked off an ambitious touring schedule to promote their Nov. 1 release, Wherever You Are, with the band currently on an exclusive eight-city “Stories and Songs” mini-tour.

The “Third Day All Access: Stories And Songs Tour” will feature the five-man band in “storytellers” type setting, presenting songs new and old, as well as sharing stories and answering questions from fans, who must register at www.thirddayallaccess.com for a chance to become part of this unique event.

Partnering with the Third Day on the “Stories and Songs” tour is the band’s longtime promotional partner, Chevrolet, whose new SS line of vehicles is featured on the All Access website.

“The opportunity to expand our marketing relationships with Third Day fans are enhanced with this tour,” said Tim Hudgens, Regional Marketing Manager Chevrolet-Southeast. “Music has been and continues to be an integral part of Chevy’s marketing approach. It allows us to connect with a variety of customers and fans alike at a deeper level than we could with more traditional marketing tactics. For example, we are taking the opportunity to highlight the launch of our all-new SS line in conjunction with Third Day’s album release. Both of which are sure to get lots of attention.”

Wherever You Are’s first single “Cry Out to Jesus” has been on heavy rotation since the end of August, as the track is being used as a theme for various hurricane relief effort campaigns due to its message of hope.

In related news, Third Day has announced their plans for a spring tour with sixsteprecords group David Crowder Band, which is scheduled to begin in mid-February.

“We are extremely excited about the spring tour with David Crowder Band,” said Third Day frontman Mac Powell. “They are one of the best ‘live’ bands that I have ever seen, so I can’t wait to perform on the same stage with them. This is going to be a great night of music, worship and community.”

Powell's counterpart within DCB concurs. "We couldn't be more excited about hitting the road with Third Day. These guys are the best!" says David Crowder. "What they have done in the industry and the church is inspiring and we're completely honored to be sharing their stage."
