This Christian Homeless Man Never Had a Lesson, But His Piano Playing Moves People to Tears (VIDEO)
David Allen Welsh is homeless, and when he sits at a piano, you might think the Vancouver man has never taken a lesson in his life. You would be right: He can't read a note of music.
But when he starts to play, it's clear something divine is happening. On the streets since the age of 6, the 50-year-old has learned to depend on God for everything, including the ability to play the piano.
"My custom is to sit and close my eyes and say, 'Dad, do what you do, it's your gift'," he told KATU.
Welsh's anointing doesn't go unnoticed by listeners. James Maynard, who was moved to tears by the performance, asserts, "People can't do that unless God were with them."
This stirring of souls is further confirmation of God's call for him to share his music.
"When someone is genuinely here and genuinely moved and they reach out and give you a hug, I weep, too," said Welsh.
