This Song to Ease the Pain of Losing Loved Ones Will Leave You in Tears (VIDEO)
We've been blessed by some powerful performances by cousins Aldrich Lloyd Talonding and James Walter Bucong. But this soaring cover of "You Wouldn't Cry (Andrew's Song)" by Mandisa seems to carry the most weight of them all.
Mandisa wrote the song to comfort a fan who had a stillborn baby. She penned the lyrics from the perspective of the baby, named Andrew, who tells his grieving mother about the glory he's experiencing in heaven. If she could see the beauty of his new home, she wouldn't cry.
Aldrich dedicates the song to two beloved people on the anniversaries of their deaths: their church's founder and his very own father. And he extends the song's message to all who are "experiencing loneliness and sadness because of the loss of their loved ones."
In the video description, the cousins offer hope:
"May we all feel God's assurance and peace :) Til that Great Reunion!"
