'Thor: Ragnarok' Post Credits Scenes Explained
What does Marvel reveal in the post-credits scene of "Thor: Ragnarok?"
Ever since Marvel produced the first "Iron Man" movie, which was everyone's introduction to the MCU, fans have been looking forward to up and coming films. The first tease of forthcoming titles always premieres through the latest flick. The tradition dates back to 2008 and to this day Marvel carries it on.
Reports say that "Ragnarok" comes with not one but two post-credits scene. While the first has brothers Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) running into trouble in space, the second one features Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster.
As expected from Marvel, they are keeping the details under wraps. Though vague, Goldblum said about the first bonus scene, "Marvel weaves – that's what they're up to, they're weaving some sort of teasing web of enchantment."
The second bonus clip was improved, Goldblum admitted.
"It looks like my ship has gone down, and I'm surrounded by the rebels," the actor teased. "And it's me against all of them – but I'm the Grandmaster. I'm immortal. You can't kill me. You can't even hurt me."
Goldblum said that whatever goes on in the scene happens out of the Grandmaster's amusement mainly because he can do whatever he wants with them.
Critics can probably agree with each other that the Taika Waititi-directed "Ragnarok" is by far the best and funniest "Thor" film, easily making this Marvel flick a must-watch.
The newest members of the MCU, Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, who plays the female warrior Valkyrie, and Cate Blanchett as Hela also delivered great performances, the critics deliberated.
Mark Mothersbaugh's score for the film was also lauded by the critics.
Mark Ruffalo's the Hulk joins the Norse god in this film in a much-awaited arc titled "Planet Hulk."
"Thor: Ragnarok" hits the big screen on Friday, Nov. 3.
