'Thor: Ragnarok' Spoilers: Character's Death Already Hinted At?

"Thor: Ragnarok" comes out in less than a month in theaters everywhere, so fans who want to keep everything about the movie a surprise should start avoiding spoilers now. New promo shots from the movie have just been released, and it shows things going really badly for a fan favorite as Hela (Cate Blanchett) takes over Asgard.

The writers and producers of "Thor: Ragnarok" have answered clamor from fans wanting to see more of the other Asgard characters, and the movie looks to deliver when it comes out early next month.

Just not in the way that fans will be happy about, however, as one of Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) closest friends might be one of the many who will lay down their lives in the defense of Asgard.

A very brief moment in the official trailer shows the soldiers of Asgard, with a lone warrior at the front, facing off against Hela, self-proclaimed goddess of death. One of the photos just released by the "Thor: Ragnarok" marketing team confirms this warrior as Hogun, one of the Warriors Three and close friend of Thor.

Facing off against the goddess of death like that is not a surefire way to stay alive, as Screen Rant noted. The scene right after confirms the theory, with Hela surrounded by Asgard's finest defenders, all dead on the ground, as she relished the moment.

While there could be a little doubt that it is Hogun (Tadanobu Asano) in that costume, there could be a chance that he makes it through — if he escapes, that is. It's not in his character, though, as part of the Warriors Three alongside Fandral (Zachary Levi) and Volstagg (Ray Stevenson).

Realistically speaking, there's little chance he makes it to the next "Thor" movie. Which is too bad for fans who haven't really seen him get his own story, having left off to stay with his people during "Thor: The Dark World."

The video below shows, among other things, Hela decimating Asgard soldiers left and right. "Thor: Ragnarok" comes out to theaters on Nov. 3.
