'Thor Ragnarok' Spoilers: New Alien Species, Hela Teased in New Images; Possible Surtur Appearance Hinted?

The digital release of "Doctor Strange" included concept art for upcoming Marvel films including "Thor: Ragnarok," which provided more details about the third outing of the god of thunder.

One artwork features the film's big bad, Hela, played by Cate Blanchett. The terrifying villainess is shown in a battle against Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in all her ominous glory.

Another "Thor: Ragnarok" artwork show Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor battling it out in an arena. Here, the latter wore a gladiator garb, the one displayed at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

But the son of Odin is not the only one dressed for what is imagined to be quite the bloody occasion. Hulk also sported gladiator armor and instead of his usual smashing, he fights using an axe.

The "Doctor Strange" release also came with a behind-the-scenes clip showing a bit of the "Thor: Ragnarok" filming. At one point in the video, two large horns can be seen behind Thor.

While Hela is deemed the antagonist in "Thor: Ragnarok," the horns put many under the impression that another one of Thor's iconic comic book rivals will be in the film — Surtur.

The demon serves as the Asgardian's mortal enemy and the horns are part of his trademark look. Movieweb notes that Surtur's appearance in the film has been rumored in the past although it remains unfounded.

While the horns shown in the "Thor: Ragnarok" behind-the-scenes clip had many hoping it is Surtur, fans will just have to wait and see.

The video also previewed what appear to be a new alien species and a colorful one at that. MCU Exchange, who provided screenshots from the BTS clip, notes that the appearance of the creatures gave them a "Guardians of the Galaxy" vibe rather than "Thor: Ragnarok."

This had the site thinking that the Avenger's adventure in the third "Thor" film will take him beyond Nine Realms.

Last but not the least, Marvel Studios also released a second part of Thor and Darryl's misadventures as roommates.
