Thousands Attending 2004 Harvest Hawaii Crusade

After hosting a capacity crowd at a one-night event in Honolulu last summer, Harvest with Greg Laurie made its return to the Hawaiian Islands Thursday, June 24, holding an extended Harvest Hawaii crusade at the Waikiki Shell.

Harvest Hawaii, which began Thursday and runs until Sunday, June 27, has seen thousands gather in attendance and hundreds making their decisions for Christ. On Thursday over 3,200 attended the event, and over 3,800 attended Friday.

Thursday's festivities included performances by Christian music artists such as the Katinas, Crystal Lewis, and Dennis Agajanian, as well as performances by local groups. Speakers included Hawaii-native Francis Kamahele, Lt. Gov. Duke Aioni, and Greg Laurie, who delivered an evening message on "How to be Happy." The second day of Harvest Hawaii also saw performances by Doyle Dykes, and a message given by Laurie on "Immortality," and a message from Raul Ries, pastor of Calvary Chapel Golden Springs.
