Thursday Night Football Live Stream: Watch Arizona Cardinals vs St Louis Rams Online (NFL Network TV Start Time, Preview)
Thursday Night Football takes place tonight with a big game between the Arizona Cardinals and the St Louis Rams. This game will have big Playoffs implications as the Cardinals look to hold onto the number 1 seed spot in the NFC. Tonight's game will start at 8.25 p.m. ET and be shown on TV on the NFL network, or online through NFLN live stream (details below).
The Cardinals come into today's game on 10-3, having halted their two game losing streak with a win last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cardinals were outplayed in the first half and went in at the break 6-14 behind, but the third quarter saw them show some of the form they have displayed this season that has some touting them as potential Super Bowl contenders. Eleven unanswered points in the third, followed by a scoreless fourth quarter saw the Cardinals return to winning ways with a tight 17-14 victory.
Meanwhile, the Rams had a good week in Week 14, shutting down the Washington Redskins completely, and piling on the misery on their opponents either side of half time to win 24-0.
That win saw the Rams move to 6-7, and although their hunt for a postseason berth is basically almost over, they will be hoping to cause an upset tonight against their NFC West rivals to move back up to .500.
At the moment the Cardinals are top seeds in the NFC, however, they have no room for any more slip ups as the Green Bay Packers are in second seed position with 10-3 as well. So a loss here today would give the Packers the chance to move ahead of the Cardinals at the weekend when they go on the road to the Buffalo Bills.
Tonight's quarterback match up will see Carson Palmer and Austin Davis go head to head. Palmer is 141 of 224 for 1,626 yards and 11 touchdowns, compared to Davis' 180 of 284 for 2,001 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Cardinals have been heavily reliant on its pass offense this season, leaving them somewhat one dimensional. On rush they are averaging just 79.8 yards per game until now this season, meaning they are posing little threat on the ground outside Andre Ellington, who has gone 660 yards on 201 carries for three touchdowns.
