Tia Mowry Reveals Why She Is Not Ready for Son to Act

Tia Mowry-Hardrict, the 35-year-old Christian actress, is not ready to consider her 2-year-old son Cree becoming an actor.

The "Instant Mom" star spoke to Ok! Magazine about the possibilities of Cree joining the same profession as his mother and father at such a young age.

"It's so funny because I'm so protective about Cree acting," she told Ok! Magazine recently. "I will say this: My husband, he was studying for a movie this morning and Cree's not even three yet and he looks at my husband and he goes, 'Audition? Dada study.' He knows the whole routine."

Still, Mowry-Hardrict does not rule out the possibilities for her son when he gets older.

"I would love him to be a lot older," she told the publication. "So once he's able to tell me and really understand what he's saying and say, 'Mommy I want to act,' then I wouldn't mind."

Last year, she explained how having her sister by her side as 14-year-old actresses who began their careers on the set of "Sister Sister" helped her.

"What was really great was, I'm there with my sister. That support system is right there," Mowry-Hardrict previously explained on "Access Hollywood." "I'm going through the same things that she's going through … the trials, the tribulations, everything."

Now, both Mowry-Hardrict and her twin sister Tamera Mowry-Housley are married with infant and toddler sons. Mowry-Housley previously spoke about what it would take to parent a child in show business.

"I think a lot of the times parents now are not into parenting their kids. They want to be their best friend/groupie," Mowry-Housley told "Access Hollywood" last year. "They forget that they are kids. It doesn't matter how much money they have. It doesn't mean you stop parenting your child."
