Tiffany Trump at New York Fashion Week 2017 News: First Daughter Gets Front Row Seat at Taoray Wang's Show

First daughter Tiffany Trump was in attendance and unsurprisingly seated at the front row during the Taoray Wang fashion show, a label owned by the Shanghai-based designer Wang Tao.

While the first weeks of father Donald Trump's presidency were met by widespread protests from the street and in the courts over the travel ban, Tiffany did not miss one of the biggest fashion events in the world and found time for the designer that she has been working with for a while now.

According to reports, Tiffany dragged her boyfriend Ross Mechanic and her mother, Marla Maples, with her to the fashion event. Maples was married to the president from 1993 to 1999. And just like any member of the first family, Tiffany's entourage included security detail headed by the Secret Service.

Tao and Tiffany have had a good working relationship since 2016 when the latter first attended a Taoray Wang fashion show. In fact, several clothes worn by Tiffany along the course of the Presidential debates and campaign were from the Taoray Wang label as well.

The matching white dress and coat that the 23-year-old first daughter wore during her father's inauguration last month was created by the Chinese fashion designer and is believed to cost $2,500 to $3,700. However, it has also been noted that the ensemble was given as gift from Tao since she has been one of Tiffany's reliable designers.

Tiffany reportedly expressed to The Hollywood Report how much she appreciates the creations of the Chinese designer, saying, "I think Tao's aesthetic is just unparalleled. She puts so much effort into the slightest detail."

About her ensemble during the January inauguration, Tiffany commented in the same THR article, "We talked a lot, and I think now she really knows my style, so we work closely together."

While Tiffany seems to be in a good relationship with the fashion world, the same cannot be said for her sister Ivanka Trump.

Even before their father won the November 2016 elections, Ivanka's fashion label already had a rocky status with Nordstrom.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the sales of Ivanka's brand drastically dropped as much as 32 percent before the elections following a call to boycott it during the heated campaign period.

However, the data was disowned by Nordstrom, saying, "We have not and will not share specific sales results numbers related to this brand or any other brand."

In early February, the department store chain for high-end finds is said to have decided that they are removing Ivanka's label from their racks and shops reportedly because of "aggressive boycott" campaigns.
