Tim Tebow Billboards Appear In Jacksonville as City Pleads for Jaguars QB

Tim Tebow may not be an active NFL player, but the popular Christian quarterback is receiving support from Jacksonville, Fla., natives to play in their city.

Signs and billboards have been making their rounds on the internet, calling for the 26-year-old NFL free agent to be signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars. One Billboard in Jacksonville pleads with the Jaguars owner Shahid Khan to pick up Tebow.

"Mr. Kahn, sign Tebow and we will fill the stadium," the Billboard reads, according to CBSSports.com reports. "Signed, Jacksonville."

Before a college football game that took place in the Jaguars' home stadium on Saturday, an airplane carried a banner calling for Tebow to join the team. The image of the banner made its rounds on Twitter.

"Tebow to the Jags," the banner read.

Tebow went from being a starting quarterback who led the Denver Broncos to a playoff run in 2012, to being signed on with the Jets last March where he was mostly utilized for special teams options. Tebow only completed eight pass attempts, six completions, 32 rushes and 102 yards with no touchdowns for the Jets before head coach Rex Ryan released a statement saying things did not work out with the Christian athlete.

Although he joined the New England Patriots earlier this season, things did not work out and he was cut from the team. Steve Clarkson, Tebow's personal QB instructor, has been vocal about Tebow getting another shot in the NFL.

"I would hope whoever, wherever he ends up that they give him an opportunity, and I think if they do, they'll be pleasantly surprised," Clarkson told The Newark Star-Ledger earlier this year. "I think the guy still can play."

Tebow has remained positive about his experience after being dropped by the Jets, despite the media questioning his future in the NFL.

"I may not know where I'm going next, but I know what's guiding me," Tebow said previously according to naplesnews.com.
