Tim Tebow, Peyton Manning, John Elway Compete Creatively for Charity
Tim Tebow, Peyton Manning, and John Elway- three of the most famous Denver Broncos quarterbacks in the football team's history- will be competing in a battle of wills, skills, and creativity: arts and crafts.
Tim Tebow, Peyton Manning, and John Elway are among the celebrities and others competing in The Mask Project, a contest to raise the most money for the Denver Hospice by auctioning off handmade masks. The clay masks are decorated, put on display at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center of Denver, and proceeds go to supporting the hospice.
"[The Denver Hospice cares] for 500 hospice patients daily and [touches] the lives of more than 9,000 people annually," reads the website for The Mask Project. "The Denver Hospice Grief Center and The Footprints Children's Grief Center are open to anyone in the community and serve more than 6,000 annually."

Although the three quarterbacks themselves don't paint the masks, they are signed with their signature. Of the football players, the biggest draw so far has been for Tebow's mask. The marble design, painted with the blue, orange, and white of the Broncos, has raised $1,410 so far.
In a close second is Peyton Manning. Although the new Broncos quarterback was a Indianapolis Colts player for most of his career, Denver fans are showing him love by bidding on his mask. The piece, painted with a strong stallion, has a high bid of $1,260 so far.
John Elway brings up a distant third among previous Broncos quarterbacks- the executive vice president's mask, complete with loose orange, white and blue stripes, has $500 promised so far.
The total amount of masks available is 500, and surprisingly, some of them have garnered even more attention than the ones by celebrity athletes like Tebow and Manning. One by Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, Fla. comes with the image of Kung Fu Panda emblazoned across it, and it has the top bid of $2,360.
The auction ends May 13.
