Tim Tebow Prays His Way to Denver Broncos Win
By now, people are aware that Tim Tebow, second-year Denver Broncos QB who started for the first time on Sunday, rallied his team to a win on Sunday.
People may not be aware that Tebow prayed his way to the win.
According to reports, Demaryius Thomas, Bronco’s wide receiver, said he prayed with Tebow for a win.
“We sat together on the sideline, talked and prayed,” Thomas said, according to The Miami Herald. “I just saw it in his face, his want-to.”
The WR stated that his teammate has a gift, which is evident through his faith in God and prayer.
“I guess that’s just a gift they gave Tim,” Thomas said.
Despite the evidence of his faith and ability to help his team beat their competition, some still managed to criticize Tebow’s game on Saturday.
Jim Rome, sports radio talk show host, made no apologies for criticizing Tebow after his questionable game.
“Tim Tebow looked like an H-back trying to play QB for most of the game,” Rome tweeted after the Broncos’ win. “Credit for beating the NFL’s worst, I guess. He has a long way to go.”
Tebow, who tweeted “Romans 15:13” on Sunday did not hesitate to admit that he has a long way to go.
“I need to get a lot better, that’s for sure,” Tebow told reporters after Sunday’s game. “It’s my fault that we were in that position in the first place. I just have to play better in the first three quarters so we don’t have to make that comeback in the fourth.”
Mike Pouncey, Dolphins Center who played with Tebow in college, expressed his shock for the QB’s success, despite his straight-laced demeanor.
“It really blows my mind,” The New York Times reported Pouncey said. “You talk about a guy that’s in the church, doesn’t do drugs, doesn’t drink alcohol, lives right, won the Heisman, won the national championship in college.”
