Tim Tebow Tweets Bible Verse Before 666th Monday Night Football Game: Romans 8:37-39
On Monday night, the Jets will kick off against the Houston Texans in a much-anticipated game. But despite some down turned spirits, following a shaky start for the Jets, Tim Tebow is looking up. Literally.
The Houston Texans are off to one of their strongest season starts yet, as they go into Monday night with a 4-0 record. The Jets however, have had a more difficult start and are coming into this game with a 2-2 record, and will have something to prove following their 34-0 shutout defeat in Week 4. But despite the tough matchup, Tim Tebow appears to be going into the game with a positive attitude, inspired by God.
Although the Jets' player noted that this would be the 666th Monday Night Football game, hinting at an ominous turnout, he also added a positive verse from the bible that suggested all players would come out "conquerors" through God regardless of the outcome of the game.
"Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight's 666th Monday Night Football game," he wrote adding a reference to Romans 8:37-39.
The bible verse reads as follows:
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
