'TimeSplitters Rewind' Trailer, Release Date News: Game to Be Released at E3 2017?

"TimeSplitters Rewind" enthusiasts are currently talking about the newly released trailer, which shows a glimpse at the title's gameplay. Cinder Interactive Arts specified the promo video as "Teaser Trailer #1," indicating that a few more will come in the near future.

Upcoming multiplayer game "TimeSplitters Rewind" is currently in development, but the video trailer got the enthusiasts excited about the game's arrival. The title was created after several failed attempts to encourage game developer Crytek to purse the anticipated "TimeSplitters 4."

However, Crytek reportedly did not develop the fourth installment of the "TimeSplitters" franchise as the demand for it is not high enough. To pacify those who are requesting for "TimeSplitters 4," the developer decided to allow a fan project to be created instead.

Crytek U.K. offered their support to the fan-created title by giving assets from the first three titles, which can be used as a reference material. Born in 2000, "TimeSplitters" was initially created by Free Radical Design before Crytek acquired its rights. Later on, the studio was bought by Cinder Interactive, which is known as a fan-based development team.

Going back to the video trailer, the first few seconds show a somewhat threatening music. Then, a few green crystals appear on the screen while several voices can be heard in the background. The promo video becomes more mysterious as the voices cannot be understood and it seems there are people chanting something.

As for the release date, the teaser suggests that "TimeSplitters Rewind" will be made available this year. Enthusiasts believe that the game will be announced before the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 (E3 2017), which is set to happen on June 13 to 15. If this is true, gamers may possibly play a demo at the event.

The development team of "TimeSplitters Rewind" is keeping quiet about everything, but it is expected that they will reveal more details soon. After all, the first trailer did not divulge anything specific about the game.
