'Titanfall 2' latest news, updates: Respawn releases patch notes for Live Fire update

Respawn has recently released the patch notes for "Titanfall 2" Live Fire update. However, the game developer has yet to actually release the much-awaited patch update itself.

As reported by Gamespot, the main addition that the upcoming update will introduce to the video game is the Live Fire multiplayer mode. Aside from that, a new Pilot execution as well as Coliseum map will also be added to the game.

Faction leaders will have new animations to perform at the beginning of the dropship sequence and will randomly perform one of these at every game. New audio will also be featured for downloadable content commander intros.

Holographic decoys will also be modified to function differently and make them a more viable choice for gamers. These improved decoys can be deployed on ziplines and will be visible with the threat scope and sonar grenade pings.

Titans that are invulnerable during an execution will be tagged with a flashing gold heath bar, making other players aware of their current state. Also, while gamers edit their loadout, they will no longer lose mod choices whenever they switch guns.

As for the game's Titan balance, Tone's Salvo Core will inflict less damage, but the damage falloff will also be removed from its rockets. With the update, the regeneration rate of Ronin and Northstar will also increase, while the damage falloff will be removed from Northstar's Flight Core rockets. This adjustment will make Northstar more consistent in dealing high-impact damage.

For the weapons in "Titanfall 2," the Archer's homing speed will be fixed with the Live Fire update. The MGL's projectile speed will be lowered while the fuse time will increase. On the other hand, Devotion will have an increased view kick during sustained fire to create a slightly larger spread.

According to PC Gamer, although the Live Fire update was announced for launch in February, Respawn was unable to confirm the patch's release date. Given that the Live Fire patch is still required to go through certification, an official announcement will only be made once Respawn is completely confident about the date.

"Titanfall 2" is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin PC.
