Titanfall 2 PS4 Release Coming: EA Confirms the Rights to Game
A Titanfall 2 PS4 release could be coming, according to a new report.
IGN.com stated that EA has secured rights to the sequel and that it is unclear if the next installment will follow in the footsteps of the first one by being exclusive to the Xbox One and PC.
EA's decision comes as a result of the sales of the original Titanfall which launched last week for the PC and Xbox One.
The site reached out to EA for a comment.
"We do not comment on rumor or speculation," said an EA rep to IGN. "Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall."
The first game was originally planned for the PC, but ended up being released for Xbox One.
The Xbox One Bundle Titanfall Bundle was released earlier this month.
Microsoft announced the new package that gives those interested the game and the system for $500. The game that comes with it is the downloadable version.
Titanfall is also one of the most anticipated games to be released for the console. Microsoft is currently struggling to keep up with Sony as the PS4 has been outselling the Xbox One significantly in various markets. Part of the reason for this is that the PS4 is at least $100 cheaper. The addition of this Titanfall bundle could help Xbox catch up.
It received good reviews from many media outlets with IGN giving it a 8.9 out of 10. Gizmag stated that its "the most fun we've had in the genre in years," in regards to the game being a first person shooter. It is currently available for purchase online and through game retailers.
