Grammy Award-winning artist TobyMac is debuting his first Christmas single and video in five years with the new song "Bring on the Holidays," which gives fans a glimpse into what he values most during the Christmas season.

"The holidays are definitely my favorite time of year," the multi-platinum selling artist told Yahoo! Music, which premiered the exclusive video. "I wanted to write a song about my struggles as a traveler trying to make it home to celebrate Christmas with my family. I'm sure a lot of people can relate. Sometimes it takes tenacious desire! An animated video gave us the perfect canvas for humor, heart and colorful imagery to my song ... so, 'Bring on the Holidays,' baby!"

TobyMac also took to social media to wish his large fan base a "Merry Christmas" and introduce his new video.

"I got to write a song, actually I started it right after Thanksgiving. It's all about a traveler trying to get home to spend Christmas with his family," he said in a Facebook live video which has already garnered more than 136,000 views.

The music video features an animated illustration of TobyMac, his wife, and five children. It starts off with a cartoon version of the "Eye on it" singer sitting in an airport sending a text message to his family that he will be back home in time to help decorate the Christmas tree and spend the holidays with them.

Unfortunately, a snowstorm causes flight cancellations and so the journey begins. The cartoon TobyMac then jumps into a cab until it breaks down, then hitchhikes, skis, and finally rides in a hot air balloon to make it home in time for Christmas.

The video highlights the Virginia native and his Jamaican wife's interracial family and their close bond. TobyMac and his wife, Amanda, have three biological children and adopted twins, ranging in age from 10 to 18.

TobyMac recently announced his 2017 headlining Hits Deep Tour. The 30-arena tour will feature Matt Maher, Mandisa, Mac Powell from Third Day, Capital Kings, Ryan Stevenson and Hollyn. The concert will showcase music from TobyMac's latest album, Hits Deep Live.
