'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege' DLC: Announcement From Ubisoft Confirms Previous Leaks
Ubisoft has announced details of its "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" Black Ice DLC. The official information confirms previous leaks about the expansion pack.
Operation Black Ice rolled out on Tuesday, Feb. 2. It's the game's first major content update that includes a new map, two new operators, new weapon skins, and more.

As seen in images leaked last month, the two new operators are Frost and Buck. They are members of Canada's Joint Task Force 2 counterterrorism unit. JFT-2 operators "work under extreme conditions" and don't rely on electronic devices to get their jobs done.
Frost is a defense operator who uses a mechanical leg trap. On the other hand, Buck is an attack operator who uses an assault rifle with a "Skeleton Key" underbarrel shotgun.
These new operators are now available to Season Pass holders, one week earlier than other players who can get them on Feb. 9.
Yacht map
In addition to Frost and Buck, the "Rainbow Six Siege" Operation Black Ice DLC also brings a new Yacht map set in Baffin Bay where a luxury yacht crashed into an iceberg. Players need to secure the vessel as an unidentified submarine has been spotted nearby. The Yacht map is available for free to all players.
The luxury yacht was first seen in a Ubisoft Mexico's trailer, while the submarine was spotted in the U.S. teaser of the expansion pack.
New weapon skins
"Rainbow Six Siege's" Season One brings with it new weapon skins. These include the JTF-2 skin, the USA winter camo, and Dwyer Hill. The new skins can be bought using Renown or R6 credits. A Black Ice weapon skin is also available this season that can be bought with R6 credits.
Spectator Camera
The Spectator Camera comes with the new DLC and is available on all platforms. It allows players to add another player in 5v5 multiplayer games. The 11th player can observe the match in real time and switch between tactical overhead view, a free-cam view, and a first-person view.
Other changes and fixes
The latest "Rainbow Six Siege" update also brings balancing changes, playlist changes, and other fixes to the game. For instance, attackers can now get to choose individual spawn points rather than go with the majority vote in a group. Operator's automatic shouts will also no longer be heard by enemies.
