'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege' Update 2.0 Brings Some New Issues

The latest "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" Update 2.0 has just been rolled out, but gamers are already complaining that the new patch has only brought more errors and glitches rather than bug fixes.

Some players are complaining that the "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" Update 2.0 has rendered the knife attack ineffective. When an opponent attacks a player using a knife, the player's health percentage remains unaffected, according to the Day Herald.

Some players have reported other issues in "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" after Update 2.0 was applied. The Shadowman issue, which transforms the player into a black silhouette, hides the real position of the player. Some gamers have renamed the black silhouette as Black Jesus, the report details.

In addition, problems with headshots have also been reported. While some are not being detected, other players complained that they received bonuses even if they have no record of a headshot kill. Morevoer, Update 2.0 of the game has opened a glitch that makes the laser of Defending operator Kapkan's trip-mine invisible.

In light of the glitches and issues, Ubisoft has released a statement acknowledging the errors that Update 2 for "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" has brought. The company said their developers are now working on a solution for the problems.

As of now, Ubisoft's current priority is the network issues. In an interview with Game Informer (GI), "Rainbow Six Siege" creative director Xavier Marquis said online experience is the most crucial factor in the success of the game.

"Netcode is absolutely critical for a game like Siege," Marquis told GI. "Many of us on the dev team are demanding players ourselves and knew from the start that the online experience would be of the utmost importance for the success of the game."

The next "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" update will be released by mid-February. The upcoming patch is expected to fix the bugs and issues that came with Update 2.0.
