'Tom Clancy's The Division' News Update: More Details About the Ambush and Strike Global Events Revealed

Ambush Global Event currently live in the Public Test Server

Global Events have significantly altered the way players can experience the world contained within "Tom Clancy's The Division."

Players have already been able to take part in two previous Global Events.

Back in August, the Outbreak event that made headshots more lethal went live. Earlier this month, the Assault Global Event changed how damaging attacks could be depending on certain factors.

With that second Global Event now in the books, players are likely already looking for the third one and developers recently hinted at what it will do inside the game.

New details about the Ambush Global Event are included in a recent "State of the Game" blog post.

For this particular Global Event, developers have chosen to focus on stationary damage. If players are able to just stay still, they will notice that a new onscreen bar will start to fill up. The damage players can deal will increase depending on how full that bar is.

Conversely, if players are moving around or are located next to their allies, the contents of the bar will then decrease, which means they will not be able to take advantage of the damage boost.

It is still unclear when the Ambush Global Event will go active in the live version of "The Division," though players in the Public Test Server can check out how impactful it is right now.

The other Global Event developers recently talked about is Strike.

With this Global Event active, players will have to quickly run away from an enemy that has just been eliminated. Eliminated enemies will drop grenades, so players who are unable to quickly get away may find themselves heavily damaged or even eliminated as well.

It is still unclear when Strike will be made available for testing in the PTS.

More news about the Global Events coming to "Tom Clancy's The Division" should be made available in the near future.
