Tom Cruise to Pay $10 Million Child Support for Suri
Tom Cruise will have to pay more than $10 million in child support for his six-year-old daughter Suri as part of the terms of his divorce settlement from Katie Holmes.
Cruise, who has an estimated $350 million fortune, reportedly agreed to give Holmes sole custody of Suri on condition that he was given visitation rights. In addition, a source has said that he also agreed to pay "more than $10 million" in child support, according to celeb rumor site TMZ.

The "Rock of Ages" actor reportedly made Holmes sign a pre-nuptial agreement prior to their 2006 wedding, to ensure that his fortune was protected. As a result he will reportedly not pay the actress any spousal support, and a source dismissed reports that she was given $50 million "ridiculous."
Cruise, 50, will reportedly make regular child support payments for Suri over 12 years, and Holmes is said to be unfazed that she will not receive any money because as a source explained "she has her own money."

Holmes, 33, abruptly ended her 5-year marriage to Cruise on June 28 and the former couple's divorce was finalized just days later.
New reports suggest that the actress, who was raised by Catholic parents, left Cruise over his deep-rooted involvement in Scientology.
Although Cruise had reportedly planned for Suri to follow the same Scientology-based upbringing as his adopted children Isabella and Connor, he agreed to keep her away from the religion as part of the settlement terms. His visits to his daughter will also reportedly be strictly monitored.
"Katie insisted that Suri's nanny and bodyguards always accompany her when she visits Tom. Katie did this for several reasons. This will ensure a smooth and easy transition for Suri when she is with Tom," a source told Radar Online.

"Suri is Katie's number one priority. Tom only has Scientologists that work for him and Katie insisted that her staff will always be with their daughter. Under terms of the settlement, Suri isn't permitted to be exposed to anything Scientology-related and this includes going to any Scientology churches, parties, etc. Katie made sure that this was ironclad in the agreement," the insider added.
