Tom Sizemore Attack on Date Night: Date's Boyfriend Discovers Affair
"Saving Private Ryan" actor Tom Sizemore was attacked last week by a man who claims he is the boyfriend of the woman the actor has been dating.
A man, 32, has been arrested for breaking into Sizemore's downtown loft in Los Angeles Thursday night and stealing the actor's guitars. The break-in occurred while the actor was hosting a date in his apartment. The intruder pretended to have a gun, the L.A. police department reported, when he confronted the actor and his date.
The intruder put Sizemore, 51, in a headlock before taking the guitars and fleeing the house. After police arrested the man it was revealed that the intruder may have a connection to the woman that Sizemore was on a date with. The man claims to be the woman's boyfriend, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The intruder, whose identity was not released, was arrested and charged with one count of grand theft and one count of vandalism. His bail has been set at $100,000.
Sizemore, who previously started in action films like "Black Hawk Down," has been attempting to put his career back together following a downward spiral influenced by drugs. He recently released a new memoir titled: "By Some Miracle I Made It Out of There."
Sizemore also claimed in his memoir that his drug run began when Robert Downey Jr. offered him cocaine. He eventually turned to heroin and said his life continued to spiral out of control from there.
