The officer credited with the arrest, Tom Ankrom, explained that Fuller told police the reason she robbed the bank as she confessed to the crime.

"During her confession, she stated she wanted to use the money to pay for dentures she was unable to get through welfare until next year," Ankrom said.

When police reviewed the surveillance video from the bank of the crime they were able to gather one credible lead.

In the video the woman appears to be toothless while wearing a coat. An unidentified man went to police and explained that he had seen the woman that was in the surveillance video because he recognized the coat she had on after he had let her borrow it.

The man told police Fuller returned the coat because the zipper didn't work, and police said it matched one the robber's wearing in the picture.

During her arraignment on Tuesday, the District Court Judge heard Fuller state that she suffers from mental health problems and currently survives on disability benefits, according to the Observer-Reporter.

After her hearing, Fuller told a reporter, "I'm very sorry for what I did and I know God is going to punish me for it." The woman went on to state that it was her Pastor that convinced her to tell authorities the truth about what happened.
