Trump also roasted Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who sat glum-faced next to the podium as the former president ripped into Harris and the Democratic Party.

"Chuck Schumer is here looking very glum — but look on the bright side, Chuck. Considering how woke your party has become, if Kamala loses, you still have a chance to become the first woman president."

Trump joked that he checked with Schumer before the dinner to see if he was OK with the joke, but noted Schumer told him, "You have gotta do what you gotta do."

During an interview with "Fox & Friends" on Friday morning, Trump claimed that he has known Schumer for many decades and contributed to his first campaign when he was running for office in the New York State Assembly.
